Today was our school's annual sports day, and the campus was filled with a joyful atmosphere. We stood in neat rows on the playground, wearing our tidy school uniforms. The event began with the opening ceremony. This was my first time participating in such a grand occasion, so I felt a bit nervous. Next, the older students from higher grades, wearing colorful skirts, walked gracefully towards the主席台 (main stand). When it was our class's turn to enter, We were full of spirit, shouting loud slogans and marching in perfect unison to the center of the main stand. The principal smiled approvingly at us, and we did our best to bring honor to our class. As the music played, all teachers and students stood up. We sang the national anthem and watched the five-star red flag rise slowly, feeling a sense of solemnity and pride.
In this sports day, I participated in the beanbag throwing event, feeling both nervous and excited. When it was my turn, I gripped the beanbag tightly, recalling the movement tips taught by our PE teacher. I swung my arm forward with force, and the beanbag traced a beautiful parabolic arc in the air. I achieved a good score, and the referee nodded slightly in approval. As the following students took their turns, the cheering voices from the sidelines grew louder and louder. In the end, I secured a rank, bringing honor to my class, and I was overjoyed. Additionally, I participated in a parent-child event with my dad. We cooperated well and worked together to achieve a good result.
I had a wonderful day today! I look forward to the next sports day arriving soon.
