Stepping through the gates of Xinyu No. 1 Middle School, my heart was filled with tension. Junior high school was saying goodbye, while high school was waving me forward. I couldn't help but miss the pleasant and perfect days of my junior high life. My mind kept flashing back to the scenes of my older siblings during their high school years; their lives seemed to be a mix of hardship and joy.
Well, I am now a high school student. I never expected high school to be so exhausting and stressful. I was assigned to Class 1, Grade 10, which is the top academic class in the first grade of No. 1 Middle School. I initially assumed the atmosphere here would be tense and filled with a strong spirit of study, but unfortunately, I found it lacking in that particular vibe.
The atmosphere in this class wasn't as intense as I had imagined. Classes were sometimes a bit noisy, and since I sat in the back row, I couldn't see the blackboard clearly or hear the teacher well...
Although I sometimes couldn't help but ask classmates questions during class, my grades are not very good at the moment, but I am determined to study hard...
It has been many days since the military training ended. During those short three days, I learned patience and concentration. Looking back at those days, I felt both tired and annoyed. This feeling is similar to studying; it can be occasionally boring and tedious, making it easy to zone out, as if I were 'flying a plane' in my mind during class.
Gradually, I am starting to adapt to high school life, though I still need time to fully adjust. I will strive to adapt to this new phase and fight for admission to a university!
