The more hypocritical a person appears, the more you need to be cautious and vigilant.
Sorrow often makes one exceptionally perceptive.
Society is a massive machine driven by self-interest, and the pursuit of benefit is an innate human instinct. The shift from worshipping knowledge to worshipping fame, and from worshipping wealth to worshipping power, reflects a distortion in social and life values. The fervent civil service examination craze is the best annotation of this. As a result, society becomes浮躁 (restless), and it is difficult for people's hearts to return to tranquility; if people's minds are like tangled hemp, how can the atmosphere be clear and bright?
Life requires accumulation and sedimentation. One needs sufficient time for reflection to become more perfect. Life also requires accumulation; only by looking back often can one sublimated through savoring gains, losses, bitterness, and sweetness. Looking forward is about dreams and goals; looking back is about results and corrections. How many things, if we had looked back in time, could have been done better? How many people, if they had taken a look back, could have obtained what they truly desired. When you turn around, the path ahead is actually written behind you.
Sometimes, being happier is simply a choice. When you treat happiness as the most important thing in life, making it the motivation for everything you do, you will become happier and enjoy the process of reaching your goals more. Do not waste time agonizing over whether you are happy; instead, carefully consider what makes you feel happy. Once you make this decision, start acting to do the things that bring you happiness. At first, you may find it difficult, but once it becomes a habit, happiness will come naturally.
