On Friday morning, the entire school held its annual spring sports day. All the students in our class were thrilled, arriving at school early to await the start of the event.
The opening ceremony took place on the playground, after which the competitions officially began. Although I was not selected as an athlete, I was just as excited as everyone else, determined to cheer for the students of Class 2(3).
The sports day featured a variety of events, including the relay race, 30-meter dash, sandbag throw, and standing long jump. Among them, the relay race was the event I was most looking forward to.
The relay race consisted of six boys and six girls from each class, performing a head-to-head relay. The young athletes gave it their all, sprinting fiercely on the track. Our cheering squad was equally enthusiastic, shouting loudly: "Go! Go! Class 2(3) Go!" In the end, thanks to the enthusiastic support of our classmates, our class achieved an excellent third place in the relay team event.
The exciting morning concluded amidst our cheers. Ultimately, our class athletes secured second place in the overall score for the grade in this sports day. We are truly proud of our class!
