Alfred Hitchcock, the famous director known as the "Master of Suspense," once got lost in the Scottish Highlands. After wandering for an unknown amount of time in the pitch-dark night, he finally spotted a single light in the distance. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a house and excitedly ran towards it.
"This is not an inn!" the owner replied sternly when Hitchcock asked for permission to stay the night.
"I only need to ask you three questions to prove that this house is indeed an inn," he said with a smile.
"I don't believe it, but if you can convince me, I will let you in," the owner replied.
"Who lived here before you?"
"My father!"
"And who was the master before your father?"
"My grandfather!"
"And if you were to pass away, whose would it be?"
"My son's!"
"See, that settles it!" the guest laughed, "You are merely staying here temporarily. Like me, you are just a traveler."
That night, he slept comfortably in the house.
In reality, no one knows what tomorrow holds. Including life itself, nothing is ever permanently ours.
