I am a true "bookworm" and take great pleasure in reading all kinds of books during my free time. During a recent vacation, my mother bought me a book titled "Cultivating Success: Inspirational Stories." As soon as I received the new book, which still smelled of fresh ink, I could hardly wait to dive in and ended up reading over a hundred pages in one sitting.
Through this book, I got to know many distinguished figures, such as Li Ning, the "Prince of Gymnastics" who trained with great diligence; Jackie Chan, who had a "kung fu dream"; Sima Guang, who inherited his father's legacy; and Leonardo da Vinci, a passionate painter... These notable figures from both past and present, East and West, share a common trait: They were undaunted by difficulties and worked tirelessly to achieve their dreams, ultimately succeeding. I deeply admire them!
I, too, aspire to achieve success like they have. I have always harbored a dream of becoming a soldier to protect my country and its people. However, as of now, I am not very tall, I do not run fast enough, and my knowledge is still limited. How can I defend my country in such a state? Starting now, I will train hard like Li Ning, never complaining of fatigue. I will follow Jackie Chan's example, never giving up on my military dream no matter how tough things get. I will also emulate da Vinci's dedication to excellence, refusing to stop until I am satisfied. My mother often tells me, "Where there is a will, there is a way." I believe that as long as I work as hard as they did, I, too, will succeed!
