The extremely confident are usually shallow. I have an innate aversion to those who display a grand sense of mission in their words and actions, and I always keep my distance from them. In my analysis, they basically fall into two categories: spiritual tyrants who have not yet succeeded, and social actors with a strong sense of role-playing. Dealing with them only makes me feel tired and bored.
I find it hardest to suppress my arrogance in front of two types of people: those who chase fame, profit, and status, and those who are arrogantly self-righteous.
In a diary, what is left behind is time, or myself, or perhaps just a habit of writing?
The life of a rural child is not lonely; it has many companions. It engages in silent conversations with trees, grass, wild rabbits, livestock, and insects, instinctively feeling that it belongs to the life community of nature. In contrast, the life of an urban child is very lonely, cut off from the land and the rich life upon it, severing its connection to the life community of nature. In a certain sense, urban children have no childhood.
Life is a miracle in the universe, and its origin is mysterious and unpredictable. According to the hypotheses of natural science, it is a product of material chemical reactions on Earth, or a visitor from outer space. According to Christian faith, it is the creation of God. Regarding the origin of life, we have only hypotheses and faith. The situation is likely to remain so, as there are secrets in the universe that human reason cannot unravel.
In this world, people sometimes have no choice but to rely on others or act against their will. However, I believe that as long as a person restrains their greed and is content with a relatively simple life, they can reduce these necessities to a minimum. Keeping away from troublesome social interactions and worldly successes is not really a loss, but rather brings infinite benefits. As a result, we gain good moods and precious time, which we can devote to the people we truly love and the things we are truly interested in, and above all, to ourselves. For a person who is content with a simple life, the realm of life becomes broader.
